I think it's safe to say that we are all exhausted right now. Radcon weekend flies so fast. Thanks for sloughing through the really long registration line on Friday. Definitely expect some improvements to come in that field.

All in all it was a great year. I thank everyone (especially security and minions) for all their hard work to pull off this event. Please remember that Radcon is a volunteer organization. We'll be putting out a request for support sometime soon as we have some departments that need filling.

But for right now it's time to rest up. ZZZZZzzzzzzz

Just updated the site with security patches and updates. If something is not working that was before, email webmaster@radcon.org.

Yay, the server IP address changed with no warning. We are back online now!

I've added in forums. Not really happy with how they look, but it's a start. I fixed the event date-time so that it sorts correctly. Upcoming events are listed in a block on the site.

Website permissions and edits are going to have to be reworked and rethought. Adding in things like forum moderators adds a new level of complexity to things as everything is content. We don't want security holes.

While Google searching for pro information, I came accross this article titled,

RadCon....live long and prosper, from the Tri-City Herald in 2007 covering Radcon 4C.

There's a picture of the John Dalmas' roast there.  That was John's first time in a Tuxedo he confided in me.

Not much has been done over the last week that is visible on the site. The exception being the new theme I've put up with an eerie green on gray motif. I'm sure I need to tweak out some of the colors a bit more, but it's a start.

A lot of behind the scenes stuff related to concom and our communications this week though. We got the email system up and working now through Google's system (mail.radcon.org) and the scheduling program is running so our programming team can begin assembling the panels and events on the grid.

I've just added a feedback form to the site. You should see this as a pop-up in the bottom corner. It will send feedback based upon the page your are on. If you are on a page and have suggestions, comments, or feedback to give about the site, then feel free to use this form. As this site is going to be a work in progress for some time, this should be a good way to get some input.
Added Event content type and will work on a calendar soon.  For now we have an Upcoming Events block on the site.

Have added in Taxonomoy vocabularies for tagging of articles with appropriate terms. This will be a vital part of filtering relevant information and find what you seek. Look for the Tags line at the bottom of articles. You can even click on these terms now and get a filter, but we'll be adding more search and sort functions later.

Last night I added every visiting pro that I know of that is coming at this time. A full list is here: http://radcon.org/pros. This page is dynamically generated from the pros added as content. I'll be working to enhance the appearances soon. Also, at the bottom of each content item you'll now see a subscribe link. This is to be notified if a page changes. For example, if you want to keep up on the most current Gaming news, you may want to visit http://radcon.org/gaming and subscribe to the page. Email notifications aren't working yet, but it's on the agenda.

I'm going to start keeping a running blog as I develop and add new features to our site. Part of this is to help me keep track of progress and bring some kind of order to the chaos and part is to let other people know that progress is being made because some things are done behind the scenes and are not visible from the front end. So, without further ado, here's my first blog entry for this.
