If you are considering hosting a private party in your room please keep these rules in mind:

 Rules:

  • Private closed door parties will comply with all hotel rules and Washington state law.
  • The hosting organization or individual(s) must have paid memberships to RadCon. The host must register the type of party with RadCon ConCom (email to officers@radcon.org) before applying for a Banquet Permit. Either the host or a designated representative must attend the party meeting with RadCon (details will be given in the response email). Hosts are responsible to see that the rest of the rules are followed in their party.
  • After receiving RadCon approval for said party, the host must notify hotel@radcon.org to be placed in the party room area to comply with hotel noise nuisance rules.
  • No alcoholic drinks are permitted outside of the designated party area or rooms.
  • Respect the hotel’s noise and nuisance rules.

It is your responsibility to contact Security should the need arise, be proactive in solving problems, and ask for assistance if it is needed. In hosting a party at RadCon, you agree to allow Hotel Security to enter the room, please be kind and courteous in dealing with hotel staff, we are all guests and should act as such.

Authorized ConCom, the Head of Security, and the hotel have the right to shut down the party for any reason. Penalties for violating hotel rules range from warnings up to and including expulsion from the Guild and/or the hotel and revoking all future party requests. Remember the #1 rule “Don’t be a pinhead” and your party will run smoothly.

Licensing and Permits:

Before you apply for a Banquet Permit, your party must be approved by the RadCon Officers. Please be sure to email officers@radcon.org to register your party with RadCon and Hotel security. This is for your own benefit. Many disputes regarding noise complaints and other issues can be solved in-house BEFORE they escalate.

  •  Special Occasions Licenses (SOL) are required for all “open door” parties selling alcohol (Note: Only the rooms specifically approved by RadCon will be allowed to have a SOL at RadCon). These licenses are only available to non-profit organizations that intend to sell alcohol as a fundraiser for their organization. RadCon is the responsible entity at this event and holds all rights of refusal to approve or deny any open door party involving alcohol at this event. Individual drinks will be sold for at least the cost of the alcohol that the drink contains. All proceeds from the sales will go directly back into the nonprofit organization RadCon Guild. Because the Red Lion Pasco is a liquored licensed premises, we must respect their wishes and abide by all applicable rules and laws.
  •  Banquet Permits are required for a private, invitation only events (not open to, or advertised to, the public). The liquor must be provided free of charge, or brought by individuals attending the event. The fee for banquet permits is $10 a day.

Banquet Permits can be acquired through the WSLCB. Please contact WSLCB at 1-360-664-1600 or check their website at http://www.liq.wa.gov/ for more information.
