Scavenger Hunt and Hidden Gems

RadCon adopted a new, interactive way during RadCon 9 to experience the event. Scavenger Hunts and Hidden Gems will be scattered around the Hotel. From a "Hidden Wand" Scavenger Hunt to a Choose Your Own Adventure posters to aid in exploring the event, you and your Adventuring Companions will find something unique to experience. Check out the current year's Programming Book & watch Social Media for more information!

RadCon 9A: This year, attendees will find a scavenger hunt for 6 different miniatures, all unpainted. Featured miniatures include a Doom Duck, OSHA Goblin, Treasure Hoard, Toxic Waste Mimic, Bear in a Radiation Suit, and RadCon Bowtie. All items are limited edition and unique to RadCon as they were created by Guild Member C'mone Rivera. Find yours before all 18 minis are claimed.

There is also a Choose Your Own Adventure within the Convention. Attendees will start near registration and choose their path using the provided choices on each Poster. Find the right path and you're sure to find a treasure worth your time! Struggle down the dark path and you may find a miserable ending. The choice is yours!

Finally, a Photo Scavenger Hunt is available to attendees. Finding all 10 photos and sharing them on Social Media with "#RadCon9A" will allow for anyone to win a prize. The first 50 attendees to see the Merchandising table with all photos will be eligible for the prizes. May the odds be ever in your favor!

SCA!

"The Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) is an international non-profit volunteer educational organization. The SCA is devoted to the research and re-creation of pre-seventeenth century skills, arts, combat, culture, and employing knowledge of history to enrich the lives of participants through events, demonstrations, and other educational presentations and activities.

Members of the SCA study and take part in a variety of activities, including combat, archery, equestrian activities, costuming, cooking, metalwork, woodworking, music, dance, calligraphy, fiber arts, and much more. If it was done in the Middle Ages or Renaissance, odds are you’ll find someone in the SCA interested in recreating it.

What makes the SCA different from a Humanities 101 class is the active participation in the learning process. To learn about the clothing of the period, you research it, then sew and wear it yourself. To learn about combat, you put on armor (which you may have built yourself) and learn how to defeat your opponent. To learn to brew, you make (and sample!) your own wines, meads and beers." -SCA.org

Fire Show!

As is tradition, RadCon hosts a Fire Show on Saturday evening of Convention around 8:00pm. Fractal Phase is currently featured at RadCon.

"We are a group of entertainment artists and friends who came together out of our love of creatively expressing ourselves. Based around the Seattle/Pacific Northwest area. With our performance, we are able to connect with people in a new way. The time and dedication to building flow skills gives us all healthy and exciting avenues of expression. When learning a new piece, there is an excitement in it for all of us to share it with others. In our shows, we bring a variety to please the eye including LED, Fire, Acro, choreographed pieces, and more." -The Fractal Phase

RadCon After Dark & 10-Forward

As sponsored 21 and over events in the Party Wing, RadCon's After Dark Bar and More & USS Antares' 10-Forward Bar and Holodeck are the place to be for good drinks, comradery, and memories. Hosting truly unique drinks in each spot, one might wonder whether they have to continually swipe their card like other bar-hopping experiences. This is not the case as RadCon provides Kiosk stations to exchange real dollars for Buffalo Coins, allowing for streamlined service at the bar. Come see what all the commotions about! *The drinks served here have intoxicating effects, please drink responsibly. Drinks are hard but Prison's harder, don't drink and drive.*
